Relationships with siblings
Sibling relationships are a key part of emotional and social development during childhood and adolescence. At our clinic, we approach sibling difficulties as an opportunity to strengthen bonds, develop communication skills, and prevent patterns of rivalry or emotional disconnection that may persist over time.
Through age-appropriate, respectful, and play-based therapeutic sessions, we help siblings express emotions, listen to each other, negotiate with respect, and recognize one another’s needs. Our focus is on fostering more collaborative and empathic relationships within the family environment.
This work is done in close collaboration with parents or caregivers, as we understand that sibling dynamics are shaped by the broader family system. Early intervention helps prevent long-term conflict and encourages a home life where each child feels valued and emotionally connected to their siblings.
